You can literally change the course of your life in seven days.
Not by struggling harder. Struggle is not what brings change. Truth is.
Before I show you the three laws that make this work, there are a few steps you need to take.
The first step is to clearly state your goal. At the end of these seven days, what do you expect to see?
No assumptions. Pick up a pen and paper and write it down clearly.
Then understand that this process is like a fast. You won't be off work or away from what you normally do. Life continues as usual. But for the next seven days, your attention will be locked in on one thing, every single day.
The most important factor in any change is truth. The agent of change in any situation is always truth.
So most of what you'll be doing this week is discovery: finding out the truth about the area you want to change. And that truth is always simple, as simple as it can be. When it gets complicated, it means there's a problem somewhere.
So you are not going to struggle or fight to make the change happen. You simply focus on taking in the truth, and that truth propels the change you desire.
Let me give you an example. Say you are a fearful person and you want to become confident. For these seven days, you won't struggle not to be afraid. Your only fight is to take in as much truth as you can about the opposite: boldness, confidence and courage. Focus your mind on that, and the result will be what you wanted in the first place. You won't be afraid anymore.
It is the truth that produces the change. Jesus said it plainly:
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32, KJV).
To make this happen, we apply three laws.
Concurrency means doing two or more things at the same time.
While you go about your daily activities, your mind stays set on the truth about what you want to change. It could be an audio message or a book you focus on all through the day. If you're too busy to read or listen, you meditate on it.
Even while you sleep, you can have an audio playing very low. You might think, "But I'm not listening to it." Of course, your conscious mind is at rest. But you are not totally shut down. Your brain is still very active, and that message affects you.
So you walk and listen. Sometimes you walk and speak it out, confessing it, because confession is part of changing your mind. When you speak, you also hear. When you say "I'm a success," you are telling yourself you are a success, and you are listening.
In animal feeding, there is what is called a maintenance ration and what is called a concentration ration. When an animal has a deficiency in a certain area, the feed is made to have more of what it lacks, say more carbs. All the other nutrients are still essential, but for that season, the animal gets more of the one thing it needs.
There are truths about every aspect of life. But for the one area where you need change as soon as possible, you take in the Word of God concerning that area more than anything else.
For example, if I always see myself as a failure, low in every situation, then I need to take in the truth that tells me I am a success. As a Christian, there are many scriptures about what God has done for me, how I am protected, how all my needs are met. They are all true. But for this change, I focus on the truth about who I am as a success, and I take it in consistently.
That is concentration ration. One area at a time. If you need a change in your marriage, focus on the truth about your marriage for those seven days. Don't get distracted by other truths, like the truth about money. That is important too, and you can give it another stretch of seven days later. But for now, take the crucial one.
The first two laws bring the truth in. Meditation is where you take it to the last level: thinking it through and digesting what you have taken in.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2, KJV).
What brings transformation is truth. What brings change is not your struggle to change. What makes a difference is not your fight to make a difference.
The Bible likens truth to water, and water is a change agent. It looks soft and gentle, yet in a flood it can move an object from one position to another. It can change the colour of things. It can wear down rock. And it is essential to human life. That is what the truth about your situation will do for you.
You may ask, "How do I know what sources to learn from?"
The first is the Bible. It answers every question anyone can ask, and reading it opens up your mind to learn from other sources.
If you are a Christian, listen to the Holy Spirit. He will direct you to other places to learn from. It could be other pastors. It could be secular sources, journals or YouTube videos.
But every source has to pass a test. The truth has to be simple, and it must not go against the Bible. That is the foundation of all truth.
So on day one, you set your goal. From day two, you stay locked in. I know 24 hours of it might not be literally possible, but you try your best to stay on it.
If it's your marriage and your spouse is complaining about something, don't struggle to change everything within those seven days. Just focus on taking in the right knowledge. The Bible is likened to a mirror, and when you keep looking into it, it changes you. You are not fighting to change. Your only fight is to take in the truth, and that truth causes an almost accidental change in you.
It works with prayer too. The best way to learn to pray is to pray, to an extent. But if you keep taking in the truth about prayer, studying where Jesus prayed and where Paul prayed, that truth will intoxicate you until you have to go and pray. That is what truth does. It brings change naturally, effortlessly.
If you are a husband, take in what the Word says about loving your wife, and read testimonies over and over. You won't even know when your attitude towards your spouse or children begins to change.
You don't have to shut down your life for this. With audiobooks, audio Bibles and YouTube videos on your phone, laptop or smart TV, it has never been easier.
All the change might not show up at the end of the seventh day. But you will have set a pace. You will have put something in motion that carries you to your desired destination. Here's how to start:
Stop fighting to change. Start feeding on truth.

This newsletter is about democratizing the life of Christ and helping Christians live the life of Christ to the fullest. Pastors and Ministers are not special; we all have received the same life, and every Christian can live the life Jesus commanded us to live. I send newsletters 3 times a week.
There is one verse that many believers quietly skip because it sounds impossible. "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17, KJV). One translation puts it even more plainly: "Never stop praying" (NLT). When you read that, the first question that comes up is honest: can anybody really do this? We have jobs. We have families. We cook, we drive, we sleep. Is Paul asking people to kneel in a corner all day? God Doesn't Give Impossible Instructions Think about who Paul was writing to. The...
God has a plan for you. It doesn't matter what condition you are in right now. Maybe you're sick. Maybe you're broke. Maybe you're confused. Whatever it is, the Lord has a plan for you. And this is not only for Christians. God made all men, so His plan reaches every human who comes to the earth, including you. It Started in Eden When God made Adam, He put him in a garden called Eden, and everything the man would need for living was already there: food, water, provision for his whole life....
Many people have a syndrome that I call passive-lazy syndrome, and they are not aware of it. Let me tell you what it is about. At different times in life we have goals we want to achieve. Then we hit a roadblock, and sometimes the roadblock is only imaginary. Instead of facing the real problem, many people turn to peripheral things. These are things that make them look like they are doing something when they are actually doing nothing. They make excuses and complain about every other thing...
