AI Tools are not that Great

Hi,

It's been a while.

I don't know if it's the same for you, but these days I am beginning to see a lot of 'AI-can-do-anything' kind of videos on any app I go to.

From TikTok to YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook you find creators who are either telling you to use AI to edit an audio or use AI to change background and several other magical things.

But what they don’t tell you is that:

  1. They are creating the content because the search volume for that keyword is high as people are voraciously consuming everything that has to do with AI. They are just deceiving gullible people while they rake in money from their content.
  2. Or they are affiliates for the AI tools they are suggesting to you and they end up making money when you sign up.
  3. Most of the AI tools are not so valuable if you don’t pay for them.
  4. Some are sincerely desirous to help you, only that they don’t practice what they preach.

They tell you, this AI can make your noisy crappy recording sound like studio-produced audio but they are recording their video with a Rode Podmic or a Shure SM7B microphone with a touch of edits on Adobe Audition.

They tell you how you can edit your videos with AI but they are Pro Premier Pro Users, their videos recorded with heavy DSLR cameras or at the least, an iPhone 15.

They tell you how to make money on YouTube, creating videos with AI but spend hours writing the script for that very video in which they are telling you to use AI.

Naive people would think AI is the secret, meanwhile, pro video editors are still studying Premie rPro so hard, only that they now use their AI inside of it.

Don’t be deceived.

When things become easy such that the entry barrier becomes low, then the value becomes low because the level of sacrifice and skillfulness required for it is reduced.

The old saying is still true, nothing good comes easy.

Besides, AI or no AI what matters most is not what you have but how you use what you have.

Don't get me wrong. I am not in fact, I use AI every day.

For instance:

a. I have an AI tool that helps me convert my YouTube videos into Blog posts on my website. (https://www.videotoblog.ai/)

b. I have 2 AI tools I use to edit my social media videos (Descript & Detail App)

c. I use an AI tool to write sometimes (Seowriting.ai - https://bit.ly/seowritingai_MA)

On and on it goes, in fact, I buy lifetime deals from appsumo.com

But here is my point:

  1. The best AI tools are usually the paid ones
  2. AI tools can only be productive if you use them creatively
  3. Using AI tools requires skills, the same skills traditional tools would require. For instance, before Canva came I used to design with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop but now I can do most of the things I needed Adobe Illustrator for in Canva and I will get the same result. That is because I already learned the fundamentals of Graphics design. It won't be the same experience for someone using Canva for the first time even if the app is fairly easy to use.

Endeavor to look at what you have already and how to make the best out of them. It's not always about jumping onto the next tool or trend.

Christian Tips with Michael Adegoke My Weekly Newsletter where I Share Tips from my Journey with Christ These are 3 common phenomena I have observed among us – Christians when it comes to Thanksgiving. 1. Happy-Mode-Only Thanksgiving We often limit our Thanksgiving to times when we are happy and excited about something new that just happened. For instance, we got some huge money, got married, had a baby, bought a car, passed an examination, etc. These things are beautiful and we should...

Making Money with Michael Adegoke My Weekly Newsletter where I Share Tips for Making Money Online as a Christian. A simple secret to making money online is providing value for foreign audiences. The limit of how much you can make is the: demand for the solutions you're providing and the buying power of the people who need your solution. For example, if you own a website where you talk about how to navigate from one location to another in Nigeria, your audience is automatically restricted to...

Making Money with Michael Adegoke My Weekly Newsletter, in which I share tips for making money online as a Christian. If you've ever tried to make a payment online, you know how important a virtual USD card is. It's practically impossible to pay online for foreign tools and services with African debit cards. Fortunately, Grey.co is giving out virtual USD cards for totally FREE. This would normally cost $4, of course, I paid for mine...but between Nov. 27 and Dec. you can get yours for free....
