Hi You might have joined this newsletter for a different purpose than the content I will be sharing today, but I am consolidating my list into one instead of having multiple segments. I am sorry for the inconvenience this might cause you. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of this email if this is not the kind of content you like. Thank you for your understanding. As Christians, we are meant to read the bible, study it, and even memorize it. But that is not the purpose of the Bible. God gave us His word so we can live it out. That means the form in which we consume His word doesn’t matter – whether it’s paper, digital, or on a billboard, it really doesn’t matter. What matters is its final destination – our hearts- and how we are able to express it through our lives. God’s goal is for us to become a living epistle, a perfect reflection of the truth written in the Bible. Every day, as we sojourn on earth, we must put the Word of God into practice; it’s not just for us to quote. It should affect our:
Yes, the Word of God guides us not to sin – but it does more than that. It seems many people are scared of God’s word because they look at it as just a book of the law. A book that condemns them, highlights their shortcomings, and makes them feel unholy. So they stay away from it, being scared of its judgement. That is not what the Bible is for; God’s design was not for it to judge you but to show you His plan for you and how you can live it out. In the Old Testament, God showed us the standard of righteousness and made it clear that no man can achieve it by themselves. In the New Testament, he showed us how to receive the gift of righteousness and work in it through Jesus Christ our Lord. David had just some books of the Old Testament, yet he recognized it as both the book of the law (Psalm 119:11) and also a lamp unto His feet (Psalm 119:105). Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:105 The Word, being a lamp, is an instructor, a guide to conversations, to decisions, to literally everything that we do. When you begin to study the Word to live it out, you will have a different experience, and it will produce a higher life for you. Hallelujah. This is a gentle reminder to give attention to the Word of God and make it the center of your life. Michael Adegoke |
This newsletter is about democratizing the life of Christ and helping Christians live the life of Christ to the fullest. Pastors and Ministers are not special; we all have received the same life, and every Christian can live the life Jesus commanded us to live. I send newsletters 3 times a week.
Look in a mirror and what do you see? A face, a body, maybe a few things you'd like to change. That's what most of us see. And that is exactly where the enemy wants your attention to stay. One of the oldest deceptions of the devil is to keep shifting our focus away from the spirit. He knows that a man has a spirit, a soul and a body, but he wants you to think you are only the body. He wants you to treat yourself as all flesh. Why? Because your spirit is crucial to your success and your...
If you just gave your heart to Christ, this is one of the very first things you should know. And if you've been a Christian for years, let it be a reminder. You need to understand what has happened to you. Christianity is the beginning of a new life. You have crossed over from darkness into light. And it isn't a small life. It's a full, abundant life in which we are promised to reign. Romans 5:17 says that "they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in...
In my last teaching, we talked about receiving the life of God: believing with our heart unto righteousness and confessing with our mouth unto salvation (Romans 10:9–10). Today I want to go a step further and look at the fullness of the life we've received. Here's the foundation. In salvation, God gave you eternal life. That isn't a small, spiritual add-on. It's the full and very life of God Himself. This life enables you to live above sin and all its consequences: sickness, pain, poverty,...
