"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue" (2 Peter 1:3, KJV).
Notice the tense. Hath given. Not "will give if you pray hard enough." Not "might give if you are good enough." God has already given us everything that pertains to life and godliness, and all of it comes to us through the eternal life we received in Christ Jesus.
In my last teaching I said that inside that eternal life there are primary and secondary provisions. Today I want to walk you through the primary ones. There are five, and every one of them is yours right now.
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7).
Jesus didn't offer a sacrifice that has to be repeated every time you fall. "But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God" (Hebrews 10:12). He sat down because the work was finished. One sacrifice covered all of your sins: past, present and future.
So what do we do when we sin? John tells us: "the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7), and "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). To confess means to acknowledge it. You agree with God that it is sin, and the blood keeps you clean. You don't have to beg for forgiveness that was already purchased.
This one surprises people. Healing isn't only for Christians. Jesus provided healing for the sinner and the saint alike.
Here's why. Sickness, disease and deformity were never part of how God designed man. They came into the world through the sin of Adam. I'm not saying you get sick because you personally sinned, although sin can open a door to the enemy. I'm saying that sickness is part of the corruption that entered through Adam, and "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8).
"With his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). Peter repeats it: "by whose stripes ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:24).
Why is healing open to everyone? Because it is a sign. Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15), and among the signs that follow believers, "they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover" (Mark 16:18). Healing shows the world that this God loves them, cares for them and has authority over sickness and demons. That's why all through the Gospels you see Jesus healing people who didn't even believe in Him yet.
Inside that same provision of healing, there is something even better for the Christian. Yes, you can receive healing. But God doesn't want you living in a cycle of getting sick, getting repaired, getting sick again and getting repaired again. That's what perpetually needing healing looks like.
What He wants for you is divine health.
"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you" (Romans 8:11).
Think about the difference between a dam and a river. A dam is given its water. Left alone, that water goes stale, so it constantly needs to be refreshed. That refreshing is healing. A river is different. It has its own source, and the water keeps flowing.
The natural man is like the dam. His spirit is fallen and has no life to fight sickness in his body, so he always needs help from outside: the hospital, or a believer praying for him. But you have a river on the inside. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the grave, unassisted and unaided, lives in you. That life swallows up sickness.
Sickness is really death in motion. Sin leads to death, and sickness and lack sit in between. But "sin shall not have dominion over you" (Romans 6:14), and "the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" (Romans 8:2).
Symptoms may come. When they do, stir up the life on the inside. Pray in tongues, activate your faith, praise and worship God, and stay conscious of who lives in you. And if you do fall sick, please don't feel condemned. Receive your healing and keep walking in that life. Our goal is not to fall sick, and we grow into it.
Jesus said, "It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you" (John 16:7). And again, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you" (Acts 1:8).
Having the Holy Spirit in you is like a cheat code. This is the same Spirit who was there when God said, "Let there be light." He didn't just witness creation; He took part in it. He existed before the earth was formed, and He knows all things. Jesus said, "he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you" (John 14:26).
Many people wish they had lived in the days of Jesus. But the same Spirit who was in Jesus is in you now. You have every ability you need to function the way Jesus functioned on earth. It takes renewing your mind and growing daily "unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:13).
He also gave us a language to pray in. When you pray in tongues, you connect with Him, you stir Him up and you put your faith to work. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 5:16). The Amplified Bible puts it this way: it makes tremendous power available.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1:3).
Hath blessed. Already. The moment you came into Christ, every spiritual blessing became yours. You're not working to earn them. You're learning to walk in them.
And finally, the door is open. "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
You don't need to stand outside and shout. You've been invited in, and you can come boldly.
Here's how I want you to respond this week:
You're not waiting on God to give you these things. He already has. Now let's walk in them.

This newsletter is about democratizing the life of Christ and helping Christians live the life of Christ to the fullest. Pastors and Ministers are not special; we all have received the same life, and every Christian can live the life Jesus commanded us to live. I send newsletters 3 times a week.
Jesus made us a promise that is hard to misunderstand: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" (Matthew 7:7, KJV). And we know that God never lies. Whatever He says, He brings to pass. So why is it that sometimes we pray and we don't see the result? I want to be honest with you about this, because many believers quietly carry this question. Some have even walked away from God over it. But I believe that once you settle a few things in...
Have you ever wondered how something that happened over 2,000 years ago can forgive a sin you committed this morning? Or how Jesus could tell people "your sins are forgiven" before He had even gone to the cross? To answer that, I want to show you a simple picture. When I taught this, I drew it on my whiteboard, and I believe it will help you understand what kind of life you've received as a Christian and how you can walk in it. Picture Eternity as a Line Imagine a long line with no beginning...
A lot of people carry a quiet worry about purpose. They wonder if they've missed it. They wonder why God hasn't spoken. Some are waiting for a dramatic moment, the heavens opening and a voice announcing, "This is why I made you." I want to take that pressure off you today. Discovering your purpose is not complicated. You don't have to force it, and you don't have to be anxious about it. There is a very simple way, and it's the same way you began your walk with God in the first place. It's...
